How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Software Developer Role

    šŸ“ Remote Role, London Head Office
    šŸ’· Ā£75,000 – Ā£90,000 + Benefits
    šŸ’¼ Permanent | Full-Time

    I'm currently working with an award-winning technology-led consultancy that is looking to add an experienced Software Developer to its growing Technology team.

    This is a great opportunity for a developer who wants to work on a genuine enterprise SaaS product, rather than jumping from project to project. You'll be joining a team that is actively modernising an established platform, with the opportunity to influence architecture, introduce new technologies and build services that will support the product's future.

    The role would suit an experienced C# / .NET developer who enjoys working across the stack and wants more ownership over the software they build.

    Why This Role?

    This isn't simply a role where you'll be maintaining legacy code.

    The business is going through a significant technology modernisation programme, giving you the opportunity to work with technologies including:

    C# / .NET 10
    Angular / TypeScript
    Kubernetes
    Microservices
    REST APIs
    SQL Server / Entity Framework
    Cloud technologies
    Automated testing
    CI/CD

    You'll be working on an established enterprise platform while helping to shape its next generation.

    What You'll Be Doing

    You'll have a varied role covering both hands-on development and wider technical responsibilities, including:

    * Developing new features and services across the platform.

    * Enhancing, maintaining and refactoring existing applications.

    * Designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

    * Working across both backend and frontend technologies.

    * Contributing to software architecture and technical design.

    * Producing technical documentation, architecture diagrams and implementation plans.

    * Participating in peer code reviews.

    * Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into effective technical solutions.

    What We're Looking For

    The key requirement is strong commercial C# / .NET development experience.

    You'll ideally have experience with:

    * C#

    * .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET

    * SQL / SQL Server

    * Entity Framework

    * REST APIs / Web APIs

    * JavaScript / TypeScript

    * Angular – desirable

    * Microservices – desirable

    * Cloud technologies – desirable

    * Automated testing and CI/CD

    * Agile development

    We're particularly interested in developers who have worked on SaaS or enterprise software products.

    Experience with document management, task management, workflow, project management or collaboration software would be a major advantage, but isn't essential.

    You do not need construction industry experience. We're interested in your software engineering background, not the sector you've previously worked in.

    The Person

    We're looking for someone who is:

    * An experienced and confident software developer.

    * Comfortable taking ownership of their work.

    * Naturally curious and interested in improving how things are built.

    * Able to look beyond simply writing code and understand the wider system.

    * Comfortable contributing to architecture and technical decisions.

    * A strong communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    * Collaborative but also capable of working independently.

    * Comfortable dealing with multiple priorities and solving problems without needing constant direction.

    The Opportunity

    You'll be joining a business where technology is at the centre of the organisation, working on a product that has genuine users and a long-term development roadmap.

    You'll have the opportunity to work with modern engineering practices and technologies while also having the satisfaction of improving and evolving an established platform.

    For the right person, this is more than just another .NET development role — it's an opportunity to take ownership, influence technical direction and help shape a product through a major period of modernisation.

    If you're an experienced C# / .NET Developer or Full Stack Software Engineer and this sounds like the type of environment you'd like to work in, I'd be keen to have a confidential conversation with you.
