Design Engineer

The Design Engineer will play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects from concept through to manufacture. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will combine technical expertise with project coordination, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to keep projects moving forward.
 
The Design Engineer will:

Manage engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, resource allocations and risk registers.
Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance teams.
Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support procurement activities.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure materials and components are delivered on time.
Identify and resolve project risks, issues and delivery challenges.
Support prototype builds and manufacturing activities.
Provide regular project updates and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.  
The Design Engineer will have:

An Engineering or Operations background
Experience managing engineering or product development projects.
Strong project planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within fast-paced, small-team environments.
Knowledge of BOM management and supply chain activities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive projects through to completion.
