We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a 4-bed Ofsted-rated Good children’s home in Yarnton, providing therapeutic, child-centred care.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide direct support to children and young people while leading shifts and supporting the wider children’s residential care team.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
* Support daily routines, education, activities and independence.
* Provide therapeutic support and consistent boundaries.
* Lead shifts and support/guide Residential Support Workers.
* Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
* Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
* Promote safeguarding and child protection.
* Support children with emotional and behavioural needs.
* Work with managers, social workers and other professionals.
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing and homely environment.
About You
* 12+ months' experience working with children and young people.
* Level 3 Residential Childcare / Caring for Children & Young People qualification.
* Experience with therapeutic, child-centred approaches.
* Confident supporting emotional and behavioural needs.
* Experience leading or supporting a residential care team.
* Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
* Flexible for long days, weekends and sleep-ins.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Existing UK right to work; sponsorship unavailable.
