How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Hybrid Working (Commutable from: Exeter, Exmouth, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Plymouth & Surrounding Areas)

Are you a Group Project Planner, from a Heavy Civils background, looking to work on specialist NEC4 programmes with real autonomy, while developing your technical capability through professional development?

On offer is a secure, permanent position within a growing group where you'll be trusted to take ownership of planning across several concurrent projects, all within a role designed to support long-term development and progression opportunities.

You'll be joining a well-established specialist engineering and infrastructure group investing in a more mature, professional planning structure-giving you senior visibility and the chance to shape how programmes, resources and risk are controlled across the wider business.

You will oversee tender-stage and live NEC4 programmes (typically 4-5 projects), building realistic logic around constraints and producing clear updates for operational, commercial and director-level decision making.

This role suits a technically driven planner who wants long-term development and recognition, with the chance to deepen NEC4 planning expertise and broaden exposure across complex projects.

    The Role:

Oversee multiple live and tender-stage projects, developing and maintaining NEC4 programmes
Manage resources, critical paths, programme risks, tender and recovery planning
Hybrid working with autonomy over your diary and site travel
    The Person:

Strong project planning experience within the Heavy Civils industry (i.e. Highways, Bridges, Tunnels, Rail, Dams, Reservoirs, Water Treatment, Utilities)
NEC4 knowledge with experience managing multiple programmes
Wanting autonomy over technically challenging projects
    Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
