How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking a Transport Support Officer to join their Transport and Parking team on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project support and stakeholder coordination skills to play a key role in delivering a range of transport initiatives.
    The role will support the delivery of a growing portfolio of projects, with an initial focus on the Parking and Kerbside Strategy, while also contributing to projects involving dockless bikes, EV charging infrastructure, and wider transport programmes.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide project support across a range of transport and parking initiatives.
    Support the delivery of the Parking and Kerbside Strategy.
    Assist with the planning, coordination and monitoring of transport-related projects.
    Support projects relating to dockless bikes, EV charging infrastructure, and other sustainable transport initiatives.
    Liaise with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
    Monitor project actions, milestones, and delivery programmes.
    Prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations, and project documentation.
    Arrange and coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
    Maintain accurate project records and support programme reporting.
    Assist with research, data collection, and analysis to inform project delivery.
    Provide administrative and operational support across the transport team as priorities evolve.

    About You

    Experience in project support, project coordination, or programme administration.
    Strong organisational and administrative skills.
    Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Experience preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to support a variety of transport-related projects
