How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS1 Teacher | Barking & Dagenham

    Are you an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher looking for a permanent opportunity in Barking & Dagenham? Academics are working with a welcoming primary school that is looking to appoint a committed teacher to join their team from January.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to build strong relationships with pupils, deliver creative lessons and become a valued member of a supportive school community.

    The Role

    As a KS1 Teacher in Barking & Dagenham, you will take responsibility for creating an engaging classroom where children feel confident, supported and excited to learn. You will plan and deliver lessons across the KS1 curriculum while adapting your approach to ensure every pupil can make progress.

    Your Responsibilities

    Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
    Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
    Differentiate learning to support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
    Track pupil progress and use assessment to inform future teaching.
    Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
    Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with the teaching team.
    Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.What We're Looking For

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Previous experience teaching within KS1 is desirable.
    A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early primary development.
    The ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
    Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
    A positive, hardworking and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
    Commitment to supporting every child to reach their potential.
