How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a confident communicator who enjoys building customer relationships, spotting sales opportunities and being part of a lively, supportive team?

This is an opportunity to join a highly successful, forward-thinking business that is forecasting exceptional growth in the coming years. Continued investment and development have created a positive environment where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, build their skills and share in the company's success.

    The Opportunity

As Internal Sales Support, you'll be part of a close-knit and expanding team, helping to deliver an excellent customer experience while supporting the company's wider sales objectives.

This is a varied, fast-paced role that would suit someone with customer service or internal sales experience who is commercially aware, highly organised and keen to develop. You'll have the opportunity to build strong customer relationships, identify sales opportunities and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business in processing and delivering orders for both stock and bespoke materials for their high end, premium product to UK trade customers.

    Your Responsibilities

Building and maintaining positive, long-term customer relationships
Identifying opportunities to increase sales and introduce customers to additional products
Proactively supporting sales activity, including opportunities linked to performance-based incentives
Working closely with the external sales team to share leads, information and customer insights
Contributing towards individual and team KPIs and sales targets
Processing orders, quotations, returns and associated documentation accurately
Coordinating with warehouse teams to support timely dispatch and delivery
Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email
Providing accurate information regarding pricing, availability and delivery timescales
Resolving customer queries and complaints professionally and with genuine care and interest

    So, about you!

You'll be motivated, customer-focused and comfortable working in a busy office environment. Previous internal sales or customer service experience would be beneficial, although it is not essential for someone with the right attitude and transferable skills from a B2B sales or service industry.

    Ideally, you will have:

A confident and professional telephone manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A natural ability to build rapport with customers
Commercial awareness and a goal-oriented approach
    Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
The ability to manage several tasks at once
Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence using technology
The ability to learn new systems quickly
A collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to work independently
And be happy to work in the company of the office dog!

    Salary and Benefits

The company offers a good overall package, including:

    £28,500 basic salary
Quarterly bonus scheme of up to 5% per quarter, equivalent to potential annual bonus earnings of up to 20%
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
Hybrid working, with two days per week from home after successfully completing probation
