Warehouse Operative

All About the Role
Based at our Barrett Engineering Steel Willenhall Site, we are looking for a passionate and committed Warehouse Operative to be part of our skilled and dedicated work force. The working hours are on a rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday 6:00am-2:00pm, then Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00pm.
Specific tasks include:
* Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items
* Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
* Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
* Transferring stock, operate saws, overhead cranes, fork lifts, side loaders and side trackers after full training
* Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
* Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times
* Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements
* Any ad hoc duties as required

Essential Skills for the role:
* The successful candidate will ideally already have experience as a warehouse operative
* You should be used to working safely, adhering to all health and safety procedures
* Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment
* Ideally you will be able to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane)
* The ability to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out
* A full UK driving license.
