How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a Forecast & Demand Planner to join our client’s team in Goole. This is an excellent chance to apply your planning and analytical expertise within a major organisation in the rail sector.

    What we offer

    ⏳ Ongoing contract through Morson Edge
    40 hours per week
    ⏰ Flexible working hours – options include 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm
    Predominantly onsite, with potential for hybrid working for the right candidate

    The Role
    You will be responsible for accurately forecasting, planning, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support smooth operational performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Forecast and plan material orders based on consumption and demand trends.
    Analyse and validate forecast data to ensure accuracy.
    Maintain planning schedules and manage overhaul requirements.
    Coordinate material releases and delivery schedules.
    Manage associated purchase requests efficiently.
    Identify, escalate, and resolve any planning issues promptly.
    Conduct root cause analysis to drive continuous improvements.
    Collaborate closely with material controllers, project managers, operational teams, and fellow planners.
    Support the development and maintenance of forecasting and demand planning processes.
    Candidate Profile
    We welcome applications from candidates across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will have:

    Experience in forecasting, planning, or demand planning roles.
    Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
    Proficiency with IT systems and confidence handling data.
    Knowledge of inventory management principles.
    Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
    Attention to detail and accuracy.
    Experience with Syncron or Power BI is desirable but not essential. Comprehensive training on the client’s internal systems will be provided.
