How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role will provide expert advice, leadership and support to site management and employees, ensuring the effective implementation of the company’s EHS Model and maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible working environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing serious injuries, occupational health issues and environmental incidents, while ensuring that EHS policies, procedures and systems remain compliant, practical and effective.

    Key Responsibilities

    EHS Leadership & Risk Management

Lead the effective application of the company’s EHS Model across the region.

Work closely with site leadership to promote a proactive, employee-led safety culture.

Identify, assess and control workplace hazards and emerging risks.

Support and promote regular Walk the Floor activities and Pre-Task Risk Assessments for non-routine work.

Review risk assessments, procedures, training requirements, equipment and workplace layouts to ensure they remain appropriate and effective.

Focus on the prevention of serious injuries, occupational health issues and environmental escapes.

Provide practical, professional EHS advice to managers and employees.

    EHS Compliance & Governance

Maintain and develop EHS policies, procedures and supporting documentation.

Ensure EHS processes are fit for purpose and consistently applied in practice.

Monitor changes to relevant EHS legislation, guidance and Codes of Practice and ensure appropriate employees are kept informed.

Conduct and support audits to assess compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Report audit findings to management and oversee corrective actions through to completion.

Develop appropriate governance routines to support delivery of annual and longer-term EHS objectives.

    Auditing & Safety Improvement

Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS audit programme involving management, operations, employees, EHS personnel and specialist contractors.

Coordinate Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and ensure critical safety processes are appropriately covered.

Identify trends, recurring risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Promote practical solutions that strengthen safety performance and employee engagement.

    Incident Investigation

Ensure accidents, near-misses, health concerns, environmental incidents and security breaches are investigated promptly and effectively.

Support robust root-cause analysis and problem-solving.

Ensure corrective and preventative actions are clearly identified, implemented and followed through.

Use lessons learned from incidents to prevent recurrence.

    Training & Employee Engagement

Deliver and support EHS training covering company policies, practices and procedures.

Coach managers and employees to improve their understanding and ownership of EHS responsibilities.

Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and awareness activities.

Develop initiatives such as safety awareness talks and accident-free campaigns to reinforce positive behaviours.

Build an environment where employees actively identify and manage hazards.

    Environmental, Social & Governance

Support delivery of the company’s ESG agenda through EHS activities and decision-making.

Contribute to the Group’s environmental, health and safety objectives and standards.

Identify opportunities to improve environmental and sustainability performance where relevant to the role.

    About You
