How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - London - £60,000-£68,000 + Package

    The Company

This Site Manager's role is with an established London building contractor delivering a broad range of new-build and refurbishment projects across the capital. Their workload covers residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes, and they have a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager on a permanent basis. This is not a position tied to one particular project; the successful Site Manager will move between projects as their workload develops.

    The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of construction projects from the groundworks stage through to completion and handover.

The Site Manager will coordinate subcontractors, manage programme and quality, maintain high health and safety standards and ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.

Projects will be based across London, so the Site Manager must be comfortable travelling into and around the capital.

    Typical duties will include:

Managing projects from groundworks through RC frame, fit-out and handover

Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress against programme

Managing site health and safety and maintaining site records

Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring defects are dealt with promptly

Liaising with the project team, consultants and client representatives

Managing short-term programmes and upcoming site requirements

Driving projects through to successful completion and handover

    Experience Required

The successful Site Manager will have a proven track record of delivering building projects from the groundworks stage through to handover.

RC frame experience is essential, and candidates with a trade background would be particularly well suited to the position.

The Site Manager should also have:

Strong main contractor or principal contractor experience

    Extensive RC frame construction knowledge

A relevant trade or construction background

    SMSTS

    CSCS Card

    First Aid at Work

Good knowledge of current health and safety requirements

Strong communication and subcontractor management skills

    Salary & Package

The successful Site Manager can expect a salary of £60,000-£68,000, dependent on experience, together with a competitive benefits package and the opportunity for long-term progression with an established contractor
