How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project and Applications Engineer

    Bromsgrove

    Project and Applications Engineer required for a market leading international engineering company.

    This company provide custom built solutions for air pollution control issues. The company offer full product training and offer scope for future career progression. This would suit those who like to have some travel within a role.

    This role would suit an engineer with experience working with process plant equipment or air movement equipment such as ducts, fans or similar. You will hold an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or similar.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing applications support to the wider sales team and the preparation of bids. You will be involved in reviewing project requirements provided by the sales team and complete the design to ensure the concept can be achieved.

    The Project and Applications Engineer Role:

    • Development of designs using AutoCAD and drawing approvals
    • Preparation of technical and commercial bids
    • Preparing design calculations
    • Developing technical specifications and associated documents
    • Analysis of reports, maps, drawings, photographs, geological data etc.
    • Travel up to 25% - international and national

    The Project and Applications Engineer Candidate:

    • Experienced mechanical engineer
    • Hold an engineering degree – mechanical, chemical or similar
    • Knowledge of Engineering principles, including Mass Balance, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Material Properties
    • Experience with process plant equipment or air movement equipment such as ducts, fans etc
    Salary description

    £55000.00 - £65000.00 per year
