How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established and design-led architectural practice with a strong commitment to quality, sustainability and thoughtful design is looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technician to join its growing team.

    The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience within architectural practice and will ideally have a strong background in residential projects. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors from initial client liaison and design development, through planning and technical stages, to onsite completion.

    The Role

    * Working predominantly on a range of residential projects

    * Liaising directly with clients and other project stakeholders

    * Developing projects from concept through planning and technical design

    * Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information

    * Coordinating with consultants and contractors

    * Supporting projects through construction and onsite completion

    * Contributing to a design-focused and collaborative studio environment

    * Incorporating sustainable and considered design principles throughout the project process

    About You

    We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician who is confident working across all stages of a project and enjoys taking responsibility for delivering high-quality work.

    You will ideally have:

    * 5+ years’ experience working within an architectural practice

    * Strong experience delivering residential projects

    * Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail

    * Experience working across planning, technical design and construction stages

    * Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods

    * Strong communication and client liaison skills

    * The ability to coordinate effectively with consultants and contractors

    * A proactive, organised and collaborative approach

    * A genuine interest in architecture, design and sustainability
