How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Night PPM Electrician – Airport Site (Airside Pass Sponsored / 8-Hour Shift)
    * Location: Heathrow & Gatwick Airports
    * Rate: £230 per night (£28.75 per hour equivalent)
    * Hours: 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM (True 8-hour shift – no 12-hour burnout)
    * Contract Type: Ongoing Contract
    Are you a qualified Commercial Electrician looking for a steady, long-term night shift without the grueling 12-hour site hours?
    We are recruiting two experienced PPM Electricians for ongoing night-shift work across Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
    The Golden Ticket Benefit:
    Previous aviation experience is not essential. If you have a clean history, our client will fully sponsor, arrange, and pay for your 5-year Airside Pass and DBS check. This highly valuable airport security clearance is a massive, long-term asset to your career and future earning potential.
    Why Apply?
    * True 8-Hour Shifts: Work 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Clear the airport before the morning commuter rush hour even begins and get your day back.
    * Clean Maintenance Work: Focus on scheduled testing and component swaps rather than heavy, dirty installation or containment pulling.
    * Guaranteed Continuity: Steady, ongoing contract work with a reliable corporate client.
    Responsibilities:
    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial electrical systems and airport equipment.
    * Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
    * Complete associated reactive and minor component replacement works.
    * Maintain accurate records using the client’s digital PDA system.
    * Work independently and alongside the existing maintenance team.
    * Complete all work safely and in accordance with airport procedures.
    Essential Requirements:
    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    * ECS Gold Card
    * Commercial or industrial maintenance/PPM experience
    * Own tools and transport to get to site
    * Right to work in the UK and a clean 5-year checkable work/education history (essential for the airside pass)
    (Note: City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent is highly beneficial, but competent commercial maintenance sparks are strongly encouraged to apply).
    Provided:
    * £230 per completed night shift
    * Full DBS check and Airside Pass sponsorship arranged and paid for by the client
    * Client PDA provided
    * Long-term, ongoing work stability
    The position will commence as soon as the standard airport security clearance and onboarding have been completed.
    To Apply:
    Please submit your up-to-date CV confirming your ECS Gold Card, inspection and testing qualifications, current location, and availability
