How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sensory Support Teaching Assistant - Hinckley

    Location: Hinckley
    Pay: £105 per day
    Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week
    Start Date: ASAP / dependent on availability

    Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley who are looking for an experienced and compassionate Sensory Support Teaching Assistant to join their team.

    This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with sensory processing needs, autism, complex needs or other additional needs, and who understands the importance of creating a calm, structured and supportive environment.

    About the Role

    You will provide tailored support to pupils, helping them manage their sensory needs and access learning as successfully as possible.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing 1:1 and small-group support
    Supporting pupils with sensory processing needs
    Helping children manage sensory overload and emotional regulation
    Supporting pupils with autism and complex additional needs
    Using appropriate sensory strategies to support engagement
    Creating a calm, safe and predictable environment
    Helping pupils access classroom activities and learning
    Supporting communication, independence and confidence
    Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
    Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
    Following individual support plans and pupil-specific strategies
    We're Looking For

    Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.

    Experience supporting children with sensory needs, autism or complex needs would be highly desirable.

    Understanding of sensory processing and individual sensory requirements
    Resilient and adaptable
    Able to remain calm when pupils become overwhelmed

    Available to work Monday-Friday, 5 days a week
