How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Maintain accurate job information within the company’s ERP/MRP system.
Raise purchase orders for materials, components and subcontracted services.
Order materials for current and upcoming production requirements.
Monitor outstanding purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
Liaise with suppliers and chase outstanding or delayed deliveries.
Communicate potential delays and material shortages to the relevant teams.
Ensure materials are available when required to support production schedules.
Check supplier order confirmations against purchase orders.
Update purchase orders following changes to quantities, prices or delivery dates.
Liaise closely with production, purchasing, estimating and management teams.
Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and production records.
Monitor job progress and follow up on outstanding actions.
Provide general administrative support to the wider office and production teams.

    Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience within administration, purchasing or production coordination.
Experience working within manufacturing, engineering or a similar technical environment.
Strong computer, systems and data-entry skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
The ability to manage several orders and priorities simultaneously.
Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal colleagues.
A proactive approach to resolving problems and following up on actions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
A valid driving licence and access to their own transport.
Previous experience using an ERP or MRP system is desirable. Knowledge of MIE Trak would be particularly advantageous, although full training can be provided.

Experience within metal fabrication, sheet metalwork, engineering or manufacturing would also be beneficial.

    Benefits

    Permanent, full-time employment.
    Monday-to-Friday working hours.
    Company pension.
    Free on-site parking.
Training on internal systems and processes.
Opportunity to develop your purchasing and production-planning experience.
A varied position within an established and growing business.
If you are an organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting purchasing, production or manufacturing operations, we would be delighted to hear from you.
