How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    ICS Manager

UK & Ireland | Healthcare Diagnostics

Are you an experienced haematology and coagulation specialist with a strong understanding of pathology diagnostics, tenders and customer solutions?

We are looking for an ICS Manager to lead a specialist team supporting the delivery of major diagnostic solutions across the UK and Ireland.

This is a senior role sitting at the heart of technical, clinical and commercial activity, working closely with customers, pathology networks, sales teams, product teams and partner organisations.

    About the role

You will lead the ICS team throughout the customer and tender lifecycle, from early engagement with pathology networks through to formal tenders and technical proposals.

A key part of the role is getting involved well before a tender begins, understanding customer requirements, visiting laboratories, assessing workflows and helping demonstrate how diagnostic solutions can improve efficiency and patient services.

You will also oversee customer demonstrations, presentations, workflow assessments, exhibitions and post-tender reviews, ensuring the team continually improves the quality of its technical and commercial support.

Alongside the customer-facing element, you will play an important role in product lifecycle management, supporting new product launches, product developments and product retirement, and ensuring product information is effectively communicated to customers and internal teams.

You will also lead, coach and develop the ICS team, helping build technical expertise, commercial awareness and market knowledge.

    Key responsibilities

    * Lead the ICS team across the pre-tender and tender lifecycle.

    * Build strong relationships with pathology networks, NHS Trusts, corporate organisations and partner suppliers.

    * Support major tender opportunities and the development of high-quality technical proposals.

    * Deliver and oversee customer presentations, demonstrations, site visits and workflow assessments.

    * Lead workflow and efficiency studies to demonstrate customer value.

    * Work closely with Sales, Product and wider leadership teams to support business objectives.

    * Drive continuous improvement through tender reviews, customer feedback and lessons learned.

    * Support product launches, enhancements and lifecycle management.

    * Coach, mentor and develop the ICS team.

    * Build strong technical and commercial capability within the team.

    About you

We are looking for someone with:

    * A FIBMS, MSc or relevant postgraduate qualification in Biomedical Science or a related discipline.

    * Strong knowledge and experience within haematology, coagulation and/or point-of-care diagnostics.

    * Experience of working on tenders, bids or procurement processes, ideally within healthcare/diagnostics.

    * An understanding of UK and Irish procurement and tendering environments.

    * Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a team.

    * Excellent presentation and communication skills.

    * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with sales and technical teams.

    * The confidence to build relationships with senior customers, pathology networks and external partners.

    * A proactive approach to continuous improvement and developing best practice.

    The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced haematology/diagnostics professional who has developed into applications, solutions, commercial or leadership work and is looking for a role with genuine strategic and customer impact.

You will have the opportunity to influence major healthcare solutions, develop a specialist team and work closely with some of the UK's leading pathology organisations
