How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Fully remote role

Digital Appointments is working with a growing multi-entity healthcare organisation to appoint a Management Accountant into a newly created role.

The group has expanded quickly and they have outgrown the current setup, and they need a qualified accountant to take ownership of group reporting, bring structure to the month-end process, and give the leadership team proper visibility on how each site is performing.

This is a role with real scope. You'll inherit a bookkeeper to supervise and develop, and the business has been open from the outset that they want this person to grow into Financial Controller and build a team beneath them.

    What you'll be doing

Owning month-end close across eight entities
Producing consolidated management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
Managing intercompany accounting, recharges and reconciliations
Delivering site-level performance reporting and margin analysis
Building budgets and rolling forecasts, with clear variance commentary
Supervising and developing the group bookkeeper
Improving finance processes, controls and systems as the group scales
Preparing VAT returns and year-end files, and managing the relationship with the external accountants
    What they're looking for

Qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA or CIMA (strong QBE candidates with the right group background will be considered
Proven multi-entity experience, including intercompany and consolidation
Experience mentoring, reviewing or supervising a junior colleague
Strong Excel skills and comfort working across multiple systems
Able to translate the numbers for a non-finance audience
Self-motivated, with the discipline to work well remotely
Experience within healthcare, veterinary, or another multi-site service group would be an advantage, but it isn't essential — the multi-entity and supervisory experience matters more.

Why this one is worth a look

Fully remote, with occasional travel to the head office near Manchester
Genuine, stated progression to Financial Controller
Newly created role — you'll shape the finance function rather than inherit someone else's
Profitable, growing group with an owner who's invested in getting finance right For immediate consideration. Apply with your CV, or feel free to call for more details
