How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Chase Taylor Recruitment are working with an established and growing business within the fenestration sector, who are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Estimator to join their team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with a strong background in uPVC windows and doors, looking to take the next step in their career within a commercially focused business.

    The Role

    As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive quotations for a range of commercial uPVC window and door projects.

    You will work closely with customers, suppliers, sales, production and operations teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and commercially viable.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Producing detailed estimates and quotations for commercial uPVC window and door projects

    * Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements

    * Calculating material, labour and associated project costs

    * Obtaining and reviewing supplier pricing

    * Liaising with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements

    * Identifying commercial opportunities and potential project risks

    * Managing multiple enquiries and deadlines

    * Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to order

    * Working closely with production and operations teams

    * Ensuring all quotations are accurate, competitive and commercially viable

    About You

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    * Previous experience as a Commercial Estimator within the fenestration industry

    * Strong knowledge of uPVC windows and doors

    * Experience estimating for commercial projects

    * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

    * Strong commercial and numerical awareness

    * Excellent attention to detail

    * Good communication and organisational skills

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

    * A proactive approach and strong work ethic

    * Experience with fenestration estimating or pricing software would be advantageous
