How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join the team delivering Thames City, one of London’s most significant regeneration projects, and gain hands-on experience across commercial management, cost control, procurement and project coordination.

    Established in 2017, Excel Winner is leading the Thames City and One Nine Elms project. We aim to transform the Vauxhall, Nine Elms, and Battersea Opportunity Area by introducing new homes, creating jobs, and developing biodiverse green spaces.


    Summary of the Job:

    We are looking for an entry-level Commercial Assistant to support the department’s daily operations, with a focus on cost administration. The role includes assisting with data analysis, reviewing and preparing payment applications, and providing general administrative support.


    The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of cost control or commercial processes. Good attention to detail, basic analytical skills, and clear communication are important. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are also key. Previous experience in the property or construction industry is preferred.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in tracking project progress and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
    • Support the management of contracts and commercial documentation, including drafting, filing, and tracking approval processes
    • Maintain daily communication with vendors, clients, and partners to support ongoing commercial activities
    • Assist in handling procurement, payments, and related commercial processes in a timely and compliant manner
    • Maintain and update business databases and filing systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
    • Support market research, competitor analysis, and industry intelligence gathering


    Job Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a commercial assistant or in a similar administrative/supoort role
    • Ideal candidate should have experience in the construction, property or procurement industry.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to communicate in Chinese is preferred, but not essential.
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
