How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Talentmark are recruiting for an Engineering Lead to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months initially, with a high likelihood of extension. This role is site based in Chirk, Wrexham.

    Salary:
    £39.10 ph to £48.87 ph PAYE
     
    Engineering Lead Role:

    Oversee all engineering operations within the manufacturing process plant.
    Manage resource planning, shift coverage, and skills development to ensure optimal team capability.
    Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance professionals across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
    Lead the implementation of lean tools and methodologies including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
    Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all critical assets based on manufacturer recommendations, historical failure data, and risk assessments.
    Own the plant's asset management strategy, ensuring long-term reliability and lifecycle cost optimisation.Your Background:

    Extensive experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing or process plant environment.
    Demonstrated experience in transitioning maintenance strategies from reactive to preventative/predictive models.
    Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing techniques.
    Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
    Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
    Holding a Lean Six Sigma certification would be an advantage.Apply:
