How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MTrec’s new career opportunity

    Our client are looking to recruit an exceptional Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of our manufacturing operation.

    The Job you’ll do

    * You will have overall responsibility for planning and controlling production, working closely with our Foreman and a team of approximately 15 production employees.

    You will be responsible for:

    * Creating and maintaining daily and weekly production plans.

    * Ensuring production targets and delivery dates are achieved.

    * Monitoring productivity, quality, waste and downtime.

    * Identifying and removing production bottlenecks.

    * Managing and developing the production team.

    * Working closely with purchasing, sales and management.

    * Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety.

    * Introducing practical Lean/continuous-improvement initiatives.

    * Producing clear production reports and KPIs.

    * Taking ownership when production falls behind plan and putting it back on track.

    About You

    * We are looking for someone who has genuinely managed a manufacturing operation rather than someone who has simply held a managerial title.

    * Proven manufacturing/production management experience.

    * Experience managing a team.

    * Welding/fabrication industry experience.

    * Strong planning and organisational ability.

    * Excellent understanding of production flow.

    * Ability to prioritise under pressure.

    * A practical, hands-on management style.

    * Good communication and people-management skills.

    * A track record of improving productivity, delivery or quality.

    * Most importantly, you will be someone who sees a problem on the factory floor and think.

    The rewards and the Benefits

    * £55,000 plus bonus on target attainment.

    * Genuine responsibility and authority.

    * Opportunity to make a measurable difference to the operation
