How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You'll play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer, quality, food safety, and legal requirements. Working closely with operational, technical, and production teams, you'll help maintain the highest standards across the business while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring products leaving site meet specification.

This is a hands on role suited to someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment. Whether you're looking to build a career within quality assurance or already have experience within the food industry, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop within a growing business.

Conducting routine quality checks throughout the production and packing process
Monitoring products for quality, appearance, condition, and compliance with customer requirements
Supporting food safety, quality, and compliance standards across the site
Completing accurate quality records, documentation, and reporting requirements
Assisting with investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints
Identifying potential quality concerns and escalating issues where appropriate
Supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems
Working closely with production and operational teams to drive quality improvements
Ensuring traceability, product integrity, and compliance procedures are consistently followed
Monitoring GMP, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the operation
Participating in internal audits and supporting site compliance activities
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
Maintaining excellent communication with colleagues across multiple departments
Supporting the wider technical function with quality-related activities as required

    What we're looking for

We're looking for a motivated and detail-focused individual who enjoys working within a fast-paced food production/Fresh Produce environment. You'll have a proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to challenge standards when necessary.

    Ideally, you'll have:

Previous experience within a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Technical, or Food Production role, although full training can be provided for the right candidate
An understanding of food safety and quality standards within a food manufacturing or fresh produce environment
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
The confidence to work independently and make informed decisions
The ability to work collaboratively with production, technical, and operational teams
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Basic IT skills and the ability to accurately complete records and documentation
Flexibility to work rotating shift patterns, including night shifts where required

    What's in it for you?

Private Medical Insurance following successful completion of probation
    Life Assurance
Paid overtime for hours worked above 48 per week
Opportunities for training, development, and career progression

This role is based on a 48-hour week across 5 days, operating on a rotating shift pattern which will not always fall Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, as the role will include night shifts and additional overtime opportunities.
