Site Manager

Optima Site Solutions is looking for an experienced and technically knowledgeable Roofing & Scaffolding Manager to join our team.

We are seeking a professional with a strong background in roofing, supported by the technical expertise and practical experience required to identify and diagnose roofing defects, assess their causes, and recommend appropriate remedial solutions.

The successful candidate will work across a range of sites, with the role predominantly based in Lewisham and Westminster.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out detailed roofing and scaffolding surveys across various sites.

* Identify, diagnose and assess roofing defects and recommend appropriate remedial works.

* Prepare clear, accurate and professional survey and inspection reports.

* Plan, manage and coordinate roofing and scaffolding works from initial assessment through to completion.

* Conduct post-completion inspections to ensure all works meet the required quality, safety and technical standards.

* Liaise directly with clients, their representatives and other key stakeholders.

* Attend site meetings with client surveyors, providing professional technical advice and responding to queries.

* Monitor works on site and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed specifications, programmes and standards.

* Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors and internal teams.

* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.

Requirements

* SMSTS certification.

* CSCS card.

* First Aid certification.

* Proven experience in roofing, with strong technical and practical knowledge.

* Experience in roofing surveys, defect diagnosis and remedial works.

* Experience managing or coordinating roofing and scaffolding projects.

* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to work independently, manage multiple sites and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, hands-on professional with excellent technical knowledge of roofing and a strong understanding of site management. You will be comfortable dealing directly with clients, surveyors and contractors and able to provide practical, reliable solutions to complex roofing issues
