How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Prepare and submit survey reports, estimates, and orders for works, ensuring value for money and commercial feasibility.

    * Engage specialist services and contractors in line with procurement rules.

    * Monitor and oversee the progress of works carried out by contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety and statutory regulations.

    * Support effective Section 20 consultations with leaseholders to maximise income.

    * Maintain accurate records of repairs histories, contract documentation, and financial transactions.

    * Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015, and promote safe practices for residents, contractors, and the public.

    * Work closely with Asset Management to collect stock condition data and produce programmes and priorities.

    Requirements:

    * Extensive technical knowledge of construction details and defect pathology in domestic dwellings, including high-rise developments.

    * Sound understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015.

    * Knowledge of Disrepair, Environmental Protection Act (EPA), and/or Party Wall legislation/Section 20 consultation is beneficial.

    * Experience in a building maintenance role, including liaising with residents, leaseholders, and external/internal clients.

    * Ability to prepare estimates, specifications, and contracts to deadlines.

    * Proficient in producing spreadsheets, maintaining databases, and delivering presentations.

    * Strong customer service skills with a commitment to empowering residents and achieving results through collaboration.

    * Ability to attend evening meetings and work flexibly.

    Desirable:
