How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Walsall WS2
    Weekly Pay: £(Apply online only)
    Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm

    Support pupils to thrive in a nurturing primary school environment.

    Long Term Futures are looking for a caring and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to support children across KS1 and KS2 within a welcoming primary school.

    The role will mainly involve providing 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs, both within the classroom and in the school's dedicated SEND provision. You'll support pupils with their learning, behaviour and emotional regulation, helping them remain engaged and make positive progress throughout the school day.

    In this role, you will:

    Provide 1:1 SEN support to pupils across KS1 and KS2
    Support children's learning within the classroom
    Work with pupils in the school's dedicated SEND space
    Help pupils manage challenging behaviour and regulate emotions
    Build positive, trusting relationships with individual children
    Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning habits
    Work closely with class teachers and the school's SEND teamYou'll need:

    A Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent in a relevant subject.
    Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN
    Experience managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable
    A patient, calm and consistent approach
