This is an excellent opportunity for an inspector with a strong engineering background who is confident carrying out dimensional and visual inspection of precision-manufactured components.
The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring manufactured components meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Your duties will include:
* Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision components
* Using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other manual measuring equipment
* Operating and inspecting components using CMM equipment
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications
* Accurately recording inspection results and identifying non-conforming components
* Working closely with CNC machinists, production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
* Ensuring components consistently meet customer and internal quality requirements
Skills & Experience
We are looking for candidates with:
* Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong experience using micrometers, verniers and gauges
* CMM inspection experience
* Ability to confidently read and understand engineering drawings
* Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and precision measurement
* Strong attention to detail
Experience using a Shadow Graph / Optical Comparator would be highly beneficial.
Knowledge or experience of PolyWorks inspection software would also be a strong advantage, although this is not essential.
