How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

Are you patient, caring and committed to helping every child reach their full potential?

Do you want a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every single day?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Chelmsford and play an important role in helping pupils with special educational needs succeed both academically and personally.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to provide individual and small-group support to pupils who may need additional assistance in the classroom. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities, making this a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about education and supporting young people.

Based in Chelmsford, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to stay engaged with learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships. You will help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families. You will understand that every child is different and will be committed to adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN would be beneficial, although the most important qualities are a positive attitude, resilience, empathy and a genuine desire to help others. This role would suit someone looking to develop a career within education, gain valuable classroom experience or continue building their experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming school community in Chelmsford, where you will have the chance to develop valuable skills, gain meaningful experience and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that your work can have a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

Are you ready to take on a rewarding challenge?

Are you passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning?

Do you want to make a real difference in the education sector?

If you are a committed, caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference in the education sector, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and take the next step towards a rewarding career where you can positively impact the lives of young people every day!

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
