How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    TXM Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading engineering organisation operating within a highly technical and innovative environment.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer to join an expanding engineering team and play a key role in the design, development and optimisation of advanced electronic solutions.

    The successful candidate will bring strong experience across analogue electronics, power systems and switch-mode power conversion (SMPS), alongside knowledge of digital electronics, embedded systems, mixed-signal design and LED lighting technologies.

    The Role
    As a Principal-level Electronics Design Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and leadership across a range of electronic design projects. You will work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to develop reliable, efficient and innovative solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

    You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support other engineers, helping to develop technical capability and promote best practice across the engineering function.

    Key Responsibilities
    Lead the design, development and optimisation of analogue electronics, power systems and SMPS technologies.
    Develop LED lighting control and power management systems.
    Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
    Oversee the integration of control systems, HMI and LED lighting solutions into products.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics, control electronics and digital systems.
    Lead troubleshooting activities involving power conversion, EMC, thermal management and system-level integration.
    Develop and improve component and system-level designs in line with regulatory and customer requirements.
    Create, review and approve technical documentation, including circuit designs, PCB layouts, test procedures and product specifications.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote technical excellence.
    Research and evaluate emerging electronic technologies and design methods.About You
    The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics design, with particular expertise in analogue electronics, power systems and switch-mode power conversion.

    You will also have:

    Extensive experience with analogue electronics, power systems and SMPS.
    A broad understanding of electronic circuit design.
    Experience designing and troubleshooting power conversion circuits such as buck, boost and flyback topologies.
    Experience with design and simulation tools such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB or similar.
    A strong understanding of EMC compliance, thermal management and safety standards.
    Experience working on system-level designs and multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
    Previous experience mentoring or technically leading engineers.
    Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Strong organisational and project management abilities.
    Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation.Qualifications & Experience
    Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
    A Master's Degree or PhD would be advantageous.
