How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Building Safety Consultant
    Title: Building Safety Management Consultant
    Location: London/SE
Reporting to: Head of Field Operations
    Type: Full-time / Permanent
    About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Building Safety professional to join a growing Field Operations team. This is a pivotal role where you will act as the technical lead on-site, guiding clients through the complexities of the Building Safety Act 2022. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of Building Safety Case Reports, from conducting physical site risk assessments to leading the gap analysis on client documentation.
    The Opportunity
You won’t just be writing reports; you will be the trusted advisor clients rely on to navigate the new regulatory landscape. This role offers a unique blend of practical site work and high-level strategic consultancy, allowing you to directly influence the safety culture of high-rise residential buildings across the UK.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Building Analysis & Strategy: Conduct in-depth analyses and risk assessments on high-rise residential buildings. Compile actionable action plans and lead the creation of comprehensive Safety Case Reports.
    * Client Leadership: Actively engage with clients to provide expert feedback, safety advice, and lead them through the successful implementation of safety measures.
    * Documentation & Compliance: Assist clients in developing and maintaining robust safety management systems. Ensure all documentation and reports meet the stringent requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.
    * Technical Authority: Lead and mentor internal advisors through the review of safety management systems and the gap analysis process.
    * Travel: This role requires nationwide travel to conduct on-site inspections and client meetings (travel expenses covered).
    The Ideal Candidate
    * Experience: Proven experience in building safety, fire safety, or a related compliance role within the residential or construction sector.
    * Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current building safety regulations.
    * Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. Excellent report-writing and communication skills are essential.
    * Proactive: A self-starter who is passionate about continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry best practices.
    * Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
    Why Apply?
This is a chance to be at the forefront of the evolving building safety sector. You will have the autonomy to lead projects, the support of a dedicated team, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference to building safety standards.
