How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Mobile Approved Electrician - Commercial Projects & Maintenance

£42,000-£48,000 basic | Realistic OTE up to £60,000
Company van and fuel card | Paid overtime and travel time | 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
Covering London and the South East

Great at what you do and ready for something new?

We're growing-and we're looking for brilliant Gold Card Electricians to grow with us.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, ambitious electrical contractor where you'll be trusted, supported and given the chance to make a genuine difference. You won't be stuck doing the same work in the same place every day. You'll get involved in a really varied mix of commercial maintenance, fault finding, testing, installations and project work across offices, retail sites, hospitals and other commercial environments.

One day you could be diagnosing a difficult fault; the next, completing an installation, EICR or larger planned project. You'll have the freedom to use your experience, solve problems and take ownership of your work-with an experienced technical and office team behind you whenever you need them.

If you take pride in doing a great job, enjoy a challenge and want to be part of a positive company with exciting plans for the future, this could be exactly the opportunity you've been looking for.

    Why this role is different

We don't want you to feel like just another number.

We want to know what you're good at, hear your ideas and give you the opportunity to contribute as the business grows. Good work is noticed and appreciated, and people who show the right attitude and ability will have the opportunity to develop and progress with us.

    You'll enjoy:

A varied mix of interesting commercial work
Support from an experienced technical and office team
The opportunity to solve problems and use your initiative
Training and development to build your skills
A friendly, close-knit team that wants to do great work
Strong earning potential through paid overtime and callout work

We're looking for people who want more than simply turning up and getting through the day. We want electricians who care about the result, enjoy finding solutions and feel proud when a job is completed properly.

A mobile role with plenty of variety

This is a genuinely mobile position, so there is plenty of travel. Most of our work is across London, Essex and the wider South East, with occasional projects elsewhere in the UK.

The role can involve early starts, longer days and changing locations. There can also be planned night and weekend work, participation in our callout rota and occasional working away with overnight stays.

Overtime and callout work are paid, and when you work away, we arrange and pay for your accommodation. We always try to give as much notice as possible and plan the work carefully.

We know this working pattern won't suit everyone, so we want to be completely upfront about it.

However, if you like being out and about, enjoy working in different environments and want a role where no two weeks are exactly the same, you could really enjoy it.

    What you'll be doing

You'll work independently and alongside the rest of our team, delivering a varied mix of commercial electrical work, including:

Reactive maintenance, repairs and fault finding
    Commercial installations and small works
    Larger electrical projects
    EICRs, inspection and testing
    Electrical certification and remedial works
Emergency lighting testing, repairs and upgrades
    Accurately surveying and planning works
Identifying the correct labour, materials and access requirements
Recording completed work, test results, photographs and materials used
Keeping clients and our office team clearly updated
Supporting junior or less-experienced electricians when needed

    What we're looking for

    You'll need:

A valid ECS Approved Electrician Gold Card
A recognised Level 3 electrotechnical qualification
AM2 or an equivalent recognised qualification route
    Current BS 7671 / 18th Edition
    Inspection and testing qualification
    Commercial electrical experience
    Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    A full UK driving licence
The right to work in the UK
The flexibility to travel, complete out-of-hours work, join the callout rota and occasionally stay away overnight
