How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    System Administration Support Officer - Planning and Place System Mgration

    London - Hybrid

    12 month contract

    Code Red Associates are currently working with a long standing client of ours looking for a system administration support officer with Acolaid and idox experience.

    To provide dedicated system administration and project support for the migration of Planning and Place services from Acolaid to Idox Uniform.

    The postholder will work closely with Planning, Building Control, Land Charges, IT, the system supplier and other relevant services to support the configuration, testing, data migration, implementation and ongoing administration of the new Uniform system.

    A key purpose of the role will be to ensure that system configuration, user access, workflows, templates and data are accurately transferred and that the new system is ready for effective operational use.

    Key Responsibilities

    System Migration and Implementation

    Support the migration of Planning and Place services from Acolaid to Uniform.
    Assist with the preparation, cleansing, validation and reconciliation of data prior to and following migration.
    Support mapping of existing Acolaid processes, fields, workflows and functionality to Uniform.
    Assist with system configuration, including workflows, case types, statuses, document templates, standard text and system parameters.
    Maintain accurate records of configuration decisions, issues, actions and changes made during the project.
    Support migration rehearsals, test migrations and final cutover activities.
    Assist in identifying data or configuration issues and work with relevant teams and suppliers to resolve them.
    System Administration

    Provide day-to-day system administration support for Uniform during implementation and following go-live.
    Create and maintain user accounts, roles, permissions and access levels.
    Maintain system reference data, templates, workflows and other administrative settings.
    Support interfaces and integrations between Uniform and associated corporate or external systems.
    Investigate system issues and either resolve them directly or escalate them appropriately to IT or the system supplier.
    Maintain appropriate system administration documentation and operating procedures.
    Testing and Quality Assurance

    Support the development and delivery of user acceptance testing.
    Prepare test scripts and record test results.
    Coordinate testing with operational users across Planning and Place services.
    Monitor defects and configuration issues through to resolution.
    Undertake data reconciliation and quality checks to confirm that migrated information is complete and accurate.
    Support regression testing following system changes or supplier updates.
    Business and User Support

    Work with service managers and operational teams to understand business requirements and translate these into appropriate system configuration.
    Provide practical support to users during testing, training, implementation and go-live.
    Assist in producing user guidance, process notes and training materials.
    Provide first-line support for system-related queries during the implementation period.
    Identify opportunities to improve processes through better use of Uniform functionality and automation.
    Support services in moving away from legacy processes that are no longer required following implementation.
    Project Support and Governance

    Work closely with the Project Manager and project team to deliver agreed milestones and implementation dates.
    Maintain project documentation relating to system configuration, testing, migration and outstanding issues.
    Attend project meetings and provide progress updates where required.
    Assist with the management of risks, issues and dependencies relating to system implementation.
    Liaise with Idox and other suppliers regarding technical queries, defects and configuration requirements.
    Ensure appropriate change control is followed for amendments to system configuration.
    Support post-implementation reviews and the transition of the system into business-as-usual support.
    Key Working Relationships

    The postholder will work closely with:

    Planning and Place service managers and staff
    Building Control
    Development Management
    Planning Policy and related Planning services
    Local Land Charges
    Information Technology
    Digital and Transformation teams
    Data and Information Governance teams
    Project and Programme Management
    Idox and other relevant system suppliers
    Other Council services using or integrating with Uniform
    Knowledge and Experience

    Essential

    Experience of administering or supporting a complex business or case-management system.
    Experience of system configuration, user administration or application support.
    Experience of supporting a system implementation, upgrade or migration project.
    Good understanding of data quality, data validation and data migration principles.
    Experience of testing systems and recording defects or issues.
    Ability to investigate system problems logically and identify appropriate solutions.
    Strong IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
    Ability to work with both technical specialists and operational service users.
    Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    Ability to maintain accurate system and project documentation.
    Desirable

    Previous experience of Idox Uniform.
    Previous experience of Acolaid.
    Experience of local authority Planning, Building Control, Land Charges or other regulatory services.
    Experience of Uniform workflows, document production, reporting or system configuration.
    Experience of SQL, databases, data interrogation or reporting tools.
    Experience of working with system interfaces, APIs or integrations.
    Experience of business-process mapping or process improvement.
    Experience of supporting user acceptance testing and system go-live.
