Responsibilities
* Safely operate a Class 1 heavy vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane for loading and unloading cargo
* Deliver goods to multiple sites across different regions, adhering to schedules and safety protocols
* Secure loads on flatbed trucks using appropriate tie-downs and safety measures
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with road regulations
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and address any issues
* Follow all traffic laws, health and safety standards, and company policies during every journey
Qualifications
* Valid Class 1 (Heavy Vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record
* Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations
* Demonstrated proficiency in operating flatbed trucks and Hiab cranes
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and load securing techniques
* Prior experience as a delivery driver preferred, with excellent navigation skills
* Ability to work independently on tramping assignments across multiple locations
* Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
