How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job Title: Days Electrical Maintenance Engineer
    Location: Holme upon Spalding Moor
Salary: £52,000 to £55,000 per annum

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with an established East Yorkshire manufacturer to recruit an experienced Days Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This is a varied, hands-on opportunity where your electrical expertise will play an important part in keeping production equipment, facilities and people operating safely and effectively.

Working across CNC machinery, woodworking and metal fabrication equipment, automated production systems and wider site facilities, you will have the scope to do more than respond to breakdowns. You will help strengthen preventative maintenance, improve equipment reliability and contribute practical ideas that enhance the engineering function across the site.

    The Opportunity:

As a Days Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in:

Taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site facilities, identifying issues early and helping to minimise unplanned downtime.
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, alongside supporting mechanical, pneumatic and control system maintenance where required.
Developing and managing the planned preventative maintenance programme, maintaining accurate equipment information, maintenance records and job histories through the CMMS.
Planning and completing small-scale electrical installation and improvement work, as well as supporting machinery modifications, equipment relocations and practical site projects.
Coordinating contractors, servicing, statutory inspections and engineering compliance requirements, including LOLER, pressure systems, LEV and fixed-wire testing. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of an engineering apprentice, sharing your experience while working collaboratively with colleagues across operations, compliance and health and safety.
Your work will directly contribute to safer working practices, stronger equipment reliability and a more proactive approach to engineering and maintenance across the site.

    About You:

We’re looking for someone who can bring:

A recognised electrical qualification, with either 17th or 18th Edition, alongside practical experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding skills and the confidence to take the lead on electrical maintenance issues across the site.
Multi-skilled maintenance experience, with the ability to diagnose and support faults involving mechanical, pneumatic and control systems.
Experience planning and completing small-scale electrical installation work safely and effectively.
An understanding of engineering compliance, contractor coordination and statutory inspection requirements.
A practical approach to engineering procedures, including risk assessments, SOPs, safe systems of work and lock-out/tag-out processes. You will be comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities, while also enjoying being part of a wider team. A practical, collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge will help you succeed in this role.

    The Benefits and Package:

    In return, you’ll enjoy:

    £52,000 to £55,000 per annum.
Permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
    Days only working pattern
22 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, providing 30 days in total.
Paid overtime opportunities to increase your earnings.
    Company pension scheme.
    Subsidised on-site meals.
    Cycle to Work scheme.
Company-funded training relevant to your role and development.
Free on-site parking. How to Apply:
