How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a major commercial build in Central London.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile project and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a major scheme, working alongside an experienced senior management and project team.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for managing and delivering the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

    Key responsibilities:

    Taking overall responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
    Managing project programmes, budgets and key milestones
    Leading and coordinating the project team
    Managing subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
    Monitoring project performance, progress and commercial position
    Ensuring projects are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements
    Identifying and managing project risks and resolving issues
    Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
    Ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality and compliance

    About You

    We are looking for a Project Manager with an engineering background who has:

    Proven experience managing major commercial construction projects
    Previous experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor
    A strong engineering or technical background
    Excellent knowledge of construction processes and project delivery
    Strong programme, budget and risk management experience
    Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
    Strong commercial awareness
    Relevant construction qualifications, ideally SMSTS and CSCS
