How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role Overview

    We are currently looking for an experienced Non-Working Electrical Supervisor to assist in the management and delivery of an electrical contract on a major construction project.

    The successful candidate will have strong experience supervising electrical installations and running or assisting with the management of an electrical contract, with the ability to coordinate site operatives, communicate effectively with management and liaise professionally with the client.

    This is a non-working supervisory role, with the focus being on managing the electrical works, coordinating the workforce, maintaining standards and ensuring the project is delivered safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Assist with the day-to-day running and management of the electrical contract.

    * Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives on site.

    * Liaise with site operatives, project management, site management and the client.

    * Ensure electrical works are progressing in accordance with the programme and project requirements.

    * Monitor workmanship, quality and progress across the site.

    * Identify and resolve issues affecting progress and communicate these to the relevant management team.

    * Ensure works are being completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

    * Use BIM models to assist with coordination, planning and delivery of the electrical installation.

    * Produce and maintain RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).

    * Ensure operatives are working in accordance with approved RAMS and site procedures.

    * Assist with the coordination of other trades and services where required.

    * Complete site records, progress updates and relevant project documentation.

    * Produce Q&A packs for handover of completed areas, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.

    * Assist with snagging, inspections and close-out of completed works.

    * Attend meetings with management and the client where required.

    Essential Requirements

    * Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial/industrial construction projects.

    * Good experience running or assisting with the running of an electrical contract.

    * Strong knowledge of electrical installation processes and construction-site practices.

    * Previous experience supervising and coordinating electrical teams.

    * BIM experience is essential.

    * Experience producing RAMS is essential.

    * Experience with handover documentation and QA/Q&A packs.

    * Strong communication and organisational skills.

    * Ability to liaise confidently with operatives, management and clients.

    * Good understanding of health & safety requirements and site procedures.

    * Relevant electrical qualifications.

    * Relevant site supervisory qualifications/cards, such as SSSTS/SMSTS and ECS, would be advantageous.

    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Supervisor who has progressed beyond purely hands-on installation work and is confident taking responsibility for the supervision, coordination and day-to-day management of electrical works.

    They will need to be organised, proactive and confident dealing with both the workforce and senior management, with particular emphasis on BIM, RAMS, quality documentation and project handovers
