How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Motor Claims Handler — Bolton (BL7).

35 hours, 9am–5pm Monday to Friday. No evenings, no weekends.

Free parking on site. CII qualification fully funded.

If you have done a year or so in motor claims and you want the next step — real files, real decisions, a qualification paid for — this Motor Claims Handler role in Bolton is worth ten minutes of your time. You will be handling third party motor claims: working out who was at fault, gathering the evidence, negotiating the outcome. You will be trained properly on the credit hire side, which is the part of motor claims that makes you genuinely hard to replace later on. It is a Motor Claims Handler job with a route through it, not a seat to sit in.

The work • Handling third party vehicle and property damage claims from start to finish • Investigating who is liable and gathering what you need to prove it • Learning credit hire — validating, negotiating, challenging inflated charges • Talking to solicitors, insurers and accident management companies • Flagging anything that does not look right • Keeping your own caseload organised and moving

What we are looking for • Some motor claims experience — around 12 months is plenty • Or strong insurance or claims experience elsewhere and a real interest in motor • Good with people on the phone, and accurate on the detail • Confident on a computer, across a few systems at once • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)

What you get • £24,479 – £28,000 depending on experience • 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Flexible patterns available. Full-time or part-time considered • CII Certificate fully funded and supported — this is a real qualification, not a badge • Holidays that increase with service, plus a holiday sell scheme • Birthday day off, half day for Christmas shopping • Free on-site parking, casual dress, free branded clothing • Contributory pension, cycle to work • Cash bonus for going above and beyond • Trained mental health first aiders on site On site in Bolton, easy to get to from Bury, Horwich, Blackburn, Darwen, Chorley and Westhoughton, and there is always a space in the car park. Apply and I will give you a ring. I will tell you honestly whether it is right for you before anything goes anywhere
