Recruitment Consultant

Volantes Renewables (Part of the Volantes Group) launched in 2025 and is already live with clients across EV charging infrastructure, grid connections, high voltage and wind. The roles are real, the client relationships are warm, and the demand is not slowing down.

What we don't have yet is someone whose full attention is on it. That's the job. This is a desk with a running start rather than a cold start — and it's a build role, not a seat-filling one. You take the division, you own it, and as the billings justify it you hire under you and build your own team.

Key Responsibilities

* Own the Volantes Renewables desk end to end — business development, client management, candidate sourcing and delivery.

* Develop the existing client base across EV charging, grid connections, HV and wind, and win new accounts alongside it.

* Work both permanent and contract placements.

* Build and maintain a candidate network across electrical, HV and renewables engineering disciplines.

* Take the lead on the Volantes Renewables brand — job adverts, LinkedIn content and market presence.

* Negotiate terms, rates and fees directly with clients.

* Set and manage the growth plan for the division, and hire into it as the billings support it.

* Mentor and manage the consultants you bring in as the team grows.

Essential Requirements

* Proven 360 recruitment experience with a demonstrable billing history.

* Comfortable owning business development — this is not a delivery-only desk.

* Strong commercial instinct: you can price a deal, defend a fee and hold a margin.

* Confident working technical or engineering-led markets, or a clear appetite to learn one properly.

* Self-directed.

* Ambition to build and lead a team rather than just hit a personal number.

* Based within reach of the Glasgow or Bournemouth office.

Desirable

* Experience recruiting in renewables, energy, utilities, electrical or construction markets.

* Contract recruitment experience alongside permanent.

* Previous experience mentoring or managing junior consultants.

* Familiarity with Vincere or a comparable ATS.
