How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation within the construction industry, who are looking to appoint an HR Assistant to join their team in Stirling.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator or HR Assistant looking to develop their career within a busy and growing construction environment.

    You will be working closely with the wider HR team and supporting managers across the business, you will provide effective HR administration and support across a range of people-related activities. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this position, as the role will require travel between sites when necessary.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing day-to-day HR administration and support

    Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes

    Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems

    Supporting absence, holiday and employee documentation processes

    Assisting with employee queries and general HR enquiries

    Supporting managers with HR-related matters

    Assisting with training and development administration

    Preparing HR reports and documentation

    Supporting HR processes and ensuring relevant policies and procedures are followed

    Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring employee information is handled appropriately
    Ideally, you will have:

    Previous experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator or similar role

    A good understanding of HR administration and processes

    Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    The ability to manage confidential information professionally

    A proactive approach with the ability to work independently

    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

    Experience within the construction, engineering or a similar industry would be advantageous

    A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this position, as the role will require travel between sites when necessary.
