How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Operative
    Kensington
    £35,000 - £38,000
     
    We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join the engineering team at an exclusive, high-end residential development in Kensington. The development has recently undergone a significant renovation and is now looking for an additional member of the engineering team to work alongside the Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor.
     
    This is a varied role which will involve carrying out building and fabric maintenance, including painting, decorating and minor repairs, while also assisting the wider engineering team with the day-to-day running and maintenance of the building.
     
    The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to learn the building, its systems and equipment, working closely with the experienced Chief Engineer and Supervisor. The role will include carrying out PPMs, assisting with reactive maintenance and supporting contractors when required.
     
    Duties will include:

    General building and fabric maintenance
    Painting and decorating
    Minor repairs and remedial works
    Basic plumbing and general maintenance
    Door, lock, fixture and fitting repairs
    Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    Assisting with reactive maintenance
    Supporting the Chief Engineer and Supervisor with day-to-day engineering requirements
    Assisting contractors and overseeing works when required
    Learning the building's plant, systems and maintenance requirements
    Maintaining communal and resident areas to an exceptionally high standard The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a maintenance, facilities or building services environment and will be confident carrying out general fabric and building maintenance.
     
    You will need to be practical, reliable and presentable, with a strong attention to detail. Most importantly, you should be keen to learn and develop your skills. With an experienced engineering team already in place, this is a great opportunity to gain further exposure to building services and progress your career within a prestigious residential environment.
     
    Previous experience within high-end residential, luxury developments, hotels or commercial property would be advantageous but is not essential.
     
    Package & Benefits:

    £35,000 - £38,000 salary
    10:00am - 7:00pm (Or Similar, can be agreed with employer)
    5 days per week, including every weekend
    2 days off during the week, with the days agreed with the employer
    20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
