Are you a hands-on Assistant Finance Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact?
We are working with a specialist Manufacturing & Engineering business in Chippenham to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
Working closely with the Financial Director, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day finance operation while also playing an important role in strengthening and developing the function as the business continues to scale.
The business is currently going through an exciting period of growth and transformation following a recent acquisition. With the business targeting significant growth, there is a real opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape how finance operates going forward.
You won't simply be processing numbers from the sidelines. You'll have visibility across the business, working with finance, manufacturing and operations, while gaining exposure to the wider group internationally.
And with the FD looking to step back from the day-to-day finance operation over the next 12-18 months, there is a genuine potential pathway towards a Finance Manager-level position for the right person.
What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities will be varied, giving you a great mix of management accounting, operational finance and commercial exposure.
You'll take ownership of:
Preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals
Maintaining and reconciling the P&L and balance sheet
Managing and monitoring cashflow
Producing daily sales and financial reports
Taking ownership of ledger management and day-to-day finance routines
Bringing key finance processes in-house, improving controls, accuracy and efficiency
Working closely with manufacturing and operations to ensure finance and production systems work effectively together
Supporting the business with financial insight as it continues to grow
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and reportingWhy join?
