How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

CSCS Groundworker - Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for experienced CSCS Groundworkers to join major long-term projects at RAF Brize Norton. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the Ministry of Defence's largest infrastructure investments, with work expected to continue well into 2026 and beyond.

Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside a major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrade designed to modernise critical facilities and prevent further deterioration of the UK's largest RAF station.

Your Role as a CSCS Groundworker:

Carry out general groundworks including drainage, service ducting, foundations, kerbing, and landscaping
Assist with infrastructure installation and site preparation
Work safely alongside plant and machinery on a busy civil engineering project
Follow site instructions and health & safety procedures at all times
Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas
Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses immediately
Support site teams to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to programme

What We're Looking For as a CSCS Groundworker:

    Valid Blue CSCS Card preferred
Previous experience in drainage, ducting, foundations, landscaping, or general civils
Strong understanding of site safety and working around heavy plant
    Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment

    Pay & Benefits:

    £16.75 phr (PAYE)
Additional pay available for plant ticket holders
Weekly pay - reliable and on time
Long-term ongoing work on nationally significant MOD projects
Excellent opportunity for consistent work throughout 2026 and beyond

    Important Site Information:

Security clearance requirements may apply due to the military environment
Candidates must complete all required site and security inductions before starting
Copies of CSCS cards, identification, right-to-work documentation, and an email address will be required prior to commencement
Additional onboarding requirements may be necessary in line with MOD site procedures

    Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term programme of work at RAF Brize Norton, supporting major Ministry of Defence investment in military housing and essential airfield infrastructure. With excellent rates, consistent hours, weekly pay, and the chance to work on nationally significant civil engineering projects, this role offers outstanding long-term career prospects.

Apply today to secure your place on one of the UK's most significant defence infrastructure projects.
