How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Project Manager

Competitive salary + benefits | Hybrid working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing Built Environment team within an established engineering consultancy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to work across a portfolio of existing buildings and live sites throughout London, overseeing mechanical installation projects from initial survey through to completion.

You'll join a well-organised, supportive and collaborative team with a strong culture and a genuine focus on delivering quality projects for a range of exciting and high-profile clients.

    The Role

You will take responsibility for managing mechanical installation packages across existing buildings, working closely with clients, contractors and the internal engineering team.

The process will typically begin with engineers visiting sites to assess the existing mechanical systems and produce a detailed report. You will then take ownership of the project, overseeing the mechanical works and ensuring the installation is delivered successfully.

    Key responsibilities include:

Managing mechanical installation projects across existing buildings and live sites.
Attending sites across London to oversee project delivery.
Taking engineering survey reports and turning them into deliverable mechanical projects.

Monitoring installation quality, progress and compliance.
Managing project budgets, variations and commercial elements.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, site-based and involved in the full project lifecycle, from understanding existing mechanical infrastructure through to seeing the completed installation.
