How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in commercial building maintenance. The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties located throughout Central London.

    This is a mobile role, requiring travel between sites within Central London, supporting clients in maintaining safe, compliant and high-quality environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • General Building Maintenance – Ensuring Central London commercial properties remain in excellent condition• Plumbing & Carpentry – Handling repairs, installations and modifications across multiple client sites• Grounds Work & Minor Repairs – Maintaining both interior and exterior building fabric• Health & Safety Compliance – Ensuring all work meets industry safety standards and client requirements• Emergency Repairs & Reactive Maintenance – Providing timely solutions to urgent issues across Central London locations

    What We Need from You

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the facilities maintenance industry• Exceptional Workmanship – Ability to maintain high-quality standards across a variety of commercial environments• Strong Health & Safety Knowledge – Committed to compliance and best practices• Full UK Driving Licence – Held for at least 5 years• Good Communication Skills – Ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues across multiple Central London sites• Comfortable travelling daily between client locations throughout Central London

    Desirable (But Not Essential)

    • Previous experience as a Mobile Fabric Engineer, Multi-Trade Operative, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Service Technician• Experience working within commercial properties in Central London• Certifications in relevant trades or facilities management training

    Your Working Hours

    • Standard hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday• Occasional early starts, late finishes and weekend work may be required to support client requirements across Central London
