How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager - Civils & Structures

    Location: Suffolk / Norfolk, with travel across the Norfolk Framework
    Rate: Up to £450 per day CIS

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of civils and structural works across a major Norfolk framework.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    Act as Project Lead across framework projects.
    Oversee the delivery of civils and structural works, including drainage, reinforced concrete (RC), and bridge works.
    Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, and delivery targets.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
    Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
    Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through effective communication.
    Provide regular project progress and performance reporting.
    Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
    Support commercial teams with cost control, change management, and variations.
    Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, and required quality standards.

    Key Requirements

    Minimum 10 years' experience in civil engineering, preferably within a Tier 2 contractor environment.
    Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
    Strong background in drainage, reinforced concrete, and structural works.
    Experience with bridge installation, refurbishment, or associated structural works is preferred.
    Proven track record of delivering highways, infrastructure, or similar civil engineering projects.
    Strong client liaison and stakeholder management skills.
    Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities.
    Proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-focused approach.
    Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate delivery teams effectively.

    Desirable

    Experience working on local authority or highways frameworks.
    Knowledge of highways framework delivery processes.
    Experience working with major highways clients and delivery partners.
    SMSTS, CSCS, or other relevant industry certifications.

    Rate & Location

    Up to £450 per day
    Suffolk / Norfolk
    Regular travel required across the Norfolk Framework
