How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Qualified SEND Teaching Assistant

    Location: Liverpool
    Role: Qualified SEND Teaching Assistant
    Ideal qualifications: Level 2 / Level 3 TA or HLTA
    Age range: 4-19
    Specialist setting supporting pupils with severe, profound and complex SEND needs

    We're looking for qualified SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning and physical needs, including complex autism.

    You'll be working in a specialist through school for pupils aged 4-19, supporting children and young people with complex SEND needs.

    We are ideally looking for candidates who hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or are HLTA qualified/status, with experience supporting pupils with SEND.

    What You'll Be Doing

    -Providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils engage in learning
    -Supporting personal care, including toileting and changing
    -Assisting with mobility and physical needs, including wheelchair transfers and hoisting
    -Delivering sensory-based and play-based activities tailored to each pupil
    -Working alongside teachers, therapists and medical professionals to keep children safe, comfortable and included
    -Supporting pupils to develop their independence, communication and life skills

    Who We're Looking For:

    -Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants
    -HLTA qualified/status
    -Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND
    -Experienced working with pupils with complex autism, physical or learning needs
    -Calm, patient and compassionate
    -Confident supporting personal care and physical needs
    -A strong team player who can follow individual care and education plans
    -Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their potential
    -Experience with PICA, PEG feeding, epilepsy, hoisting and other complex care needs would be highly beneficial, although full training and support will be provided where required.
