HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Fire & Security sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.
There are two parts to this positiion which will see you working roughly 50 % of your time in the office and 50% in the field – this position is to talk to customers via email, phone, teams etc when in the office to run them through installations, service or repairs of the products sold. When in the field you will be working on the same, service, repairs, installs, commission and acceptance tests. This would sut a deck fitter, a marine engineer, mechanical fitter, or someone who has a good aptitude for mechanical installation and some hands on understanding/experience of the marine industry.
Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Fitter:
* This person will: Provide technical support and advice via phone, email, and in on site, in person
* Carry out field-based support including warranty work, sea trials, commissioning, and service visits
* Document any onsite service work, installations, and commissioning activities
* Collaborate with the internal sales, design, quality, and production teams to provide product feedback to help drive product improvements
* Deliver training to customers and colleagues where required
Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Fitter:
* Hands-on mechanical experience
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Passport and full willingness to travel at short notice UK and overseas
* Full UK driving licence
