How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    RECfinancial is exclusively partnering with a large Leicestershire based business in the appointment of a new Financial Accountant.

    The role is based at one of the best offices in Leicestershire and is commutable from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby and Coventry / Warwickshire.

    Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will take responsibility for all of the firm’s financial accounting activities and will work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director.

    Day to day responsibilities will include full balance sheet control, long range planning, fixed assets, year end, working with the external auditors, monthly board reporting, supporting with budgeting / forecasting, preparation of the VAT return and working closely with the Management Accounts & FP&A team. The role will also manage one member of staff.

    The role would suit a candidate who is qualified in either the ACCA or ACA qualification and your experience will have a strong financial accounting bias. Candidates will be considered who have either financial accounting experience from industry or those who have qualified within practice and are looking to make their second move.

    Due to the size of the business there is potential for further career growth in the future.

    The role has a salary range of between £50,000 and £60,000 plus a generous benefits package
