How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Shot Blast Technician (Night Shift)

    Hours: Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:45pm to 6:00am (39 hours)
    Hourly Rate  £21.18 per hour

    Location: Cheshire

    About the Role

    We are looking for a skilled and motivated Shot Blast Technician to join our night shift production team. Reporting directly to the Night Shift Manager, you will play a key role in preparing steel components and heavy fabrications for protective coatings, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

    Key Responsibilities

    Shot blasting a variety of metals and heavy fabrications
    Preparing steel components for protective coatings
    Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the production area
    Following all health and safety procedures and regulations
    Minimising waste through efficient use of materials and consumables
    Ensuring a safe working environment at all times
    Supporting production targets while maintaining quality standards
    Assisting with other production duties as required, with full training provided
    What We're Looking For

    We're seeking a hands-on individual who is organised, proactive, and self-motivated.

    Ideally, you will have:

    Experience in shot blasting, paint spraying, or surface preparation
    Experience within commercial vehicle bodywork, trailer manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
    High-quality automotive painting experience involving stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium
    A strong focus on quality and attention to detail
    The ability to work effectively within a production-focused environment
    A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
