How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Test Engineer

    £31,000 - £36,000 + Training + Long-Term Stability + Varied Bespoke Work + Company Benefits

Grantham (Commutable from: Newark-on-Trent, Lincoln, Sleaford, Melton Mowbray, Nottingham, Stamford, Oakham)

Are you an Electrical Test Engineer looking to join a respected manufacturer where you can become a true specialist in LV control panels? Do you enjoy fault-finding from schematics and taking ownership of quality on bespoke, one-off builds?

This is a permanent, days-based role with a long-established employer, offering a stable position and the chance to develop your technical skillset through varied, non-repetitive work-without the churn of production-line testing.

You'll be joining a business with a strong reputation for quality and customer service, supplying bespoke low voltage control panels across a range of sectors. With long-serving staff and continued growth, they offer the kind of environment where you can build a long-term career.

Based on-site in Grantham, you'll test and fault-find LV control panel assemblies, support resolution of build/functionality issues, and run Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) alongside clients and design engineers.

This role suits a Electrical Test Engineer motivated by high technical standards and becoming a specialist-someone who wants depth of skill, varied projects, and a company that values quality and long-term development.

    The Role:

Electrical testing and fault-finding on bespoke Low Voltage control panels / MCC assemblies (site-based, Grantham)
Support build/functionality issue resolution and conduct FATs with clients/design engineers
    Permanent, full-time, on-site position (days-based working)
    The Person:

Electrical qualification (e.g. ONC / City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
Experience testing LV control panels or MCCs in a manufacturing/testing environment
Able to read/interpret electrical schematics and work to relevant wiring regs/standards
    Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
